Feb 2014 QLD SQL Server User Group – Victor Isakov
Managing Database Corruption
Have you ever experienced database corruption? Do you know what to do in the event of database corruption? When such a catastrophic event occurs, and the pressure is on, will you be able to recover the database within your SLAs?
In this session Victor Isakov (MCA, MCM, MCT, MVP) will examine database corruption in detail. Victor will cover the different types of database corruption, how to mitigate against it and what to do in the event of it happening. Along the way he will give present some “case studies” of what has been done wrong out there in the field. This should prove to be a very practical and proactive session that every DBA should attend.
