With the introduction of the Business Intelligence Semantic Model in SQL Server 2012 there are two ways to create and deliver successful Analysis Services projects: Tabular and Multidimensional. In this demo-driven session, learn about data modelling and administration techniques for the new Tabular models with SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT) for BI.
About the Speaker
Geoff Black has a degree in Applied Physics from the Royal Melbourne University of Technology, Melbourne, where he graduated with distinction. Since that time he has pursued post graduate studies in computational physics and become a Microsoft Certified Trainer. Geoff’s main focus is on Database Development and Business Intelligence with Microsoft SQL Server. He has taught, consulted and led many diverse IT projects worldwide using many different languages and systems, and has been instrumental in pioneering several new innovative technologies. His latest pursuits involve teaching and working with Microsoft tools as a SQL Server Consultant for WARDYIT Solutions.
